Big sword

The Big Sword.

The Big Sword is an upgraded version of the main sword that the player is always equipped with. Before the first update, there were no sword power-ups, so Geoff decided to include the Big Sword to satisfy Sploder members who wanted a sword power-up. It is stronger but slower than the regular sword.

Appearance[]

There is not much to say about the appearance of the Big Sword. Like all Platformer power-ups, there is a blue lining across the blade, hilt, and blood gutter, the rectangular shape in the middle of the blade and hilt. before the Player acquires it and uses it. The hilt is small and black, as well as the blood gutter. The blade is relatively 5 times larger than the other 2 parts combined.

The blade has 6 sides, all lightly shaded over a white covering. (All except the far left side.) Unlike a usual blade, the tip is very blunt, with only an 80 degree tip as a stabbing point. At the beginning of the blade sprouting from the hilt, the blade is curved dramatically upward, and then drawn straight until it reaches the tip of the sword. The swords blade is in fact oversized and ridiculously large, as such the intention for a potent power-up.

Uses in Combat[]

The Big Sword's description says "A more powerful sword you can bash with, 20 swings per power-up." Prior to its description, the Big Sword does produce 20 swings per Big Sword the Player acquires. Unlike the regular sword, the Big Sword is not adept at climbing walls, especially since the swinging time is limited. The Big Sword also produces more weight than many other power-ups, causing gravity to bring the Player down faster.

The Big Sword inflicts 2 times the regular amount of damage than the regular Sword. Here are the damage ratios when using the Big Sword against enemies, and how many attacks it takes to kill them: (The Big Sword deals 10%-12% damage of the Players health.)
